I kept thinking of the words of the Psalmist, “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2) This statement of faith and confidence in God follows a redirection of attention towards creation, which itself points to the Creator as Augustine so beautifully experienced.
